The research findings show that the vast majority of participants have a relatively high level of job satisfaction, despite the existence of factors that negatively influence on the job satisfaction level, such as inappropriate work schedule, salary issues, and dealings with administration. The subject of research presented in this article are selected psychological problems of finding and maintaining job among long-term unemployed. This article presents the issue of the competence of purchasing specialists. The author presents these connections and relationships – reveals hidden structures generating current activating assistance practice and defining the logics of its functioning. It comes to the conclusion that these practices are primarily driven by increasing tensions between the world of capital and the world of labour. The article aims at explaining why nowadays employees’ relevant competences are believed to have such significant role. The research was initiated after noticing a gap in the existing studies in the field of purchasing competence management. The conclusions characterize the overall picture of job offers for positions in the purchasing department in the context of the implementation of an effective recruitment process. The purpose of the work is to answer the question of what are the required competencies of employees when recruiting for the position of purchasing specialist in a modern enterprise. Work gives women the chance of being active in professional and public life.
